When you request a quote or post a project
We collect your name, email, phone number (if you give one), how you'd like to be contacted, your area and the details of your project, including budget and timeline if you add them.
We send these details only to the businesses your request goes to: the one you picked, or up to 3 businesses we choose for a posted project. They use them to reply to you. For a posted project, the two of us who run KabayanPros also read it so we can pick those businesses. We email you a confirmation code and a private link to manage your request.
We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list. The only follow-up we send is one email a few days later asking if anyone got back to you.
When you list or claim a business
We collect your name, email, phone number and the business details you enter. Your business details, photos and phone number appear on your public profile. The email where you receive requests is private and isn't shown on your profile.
We use your email to sign you in with a one-time code and to send you requests and updates about your listing.
Unclaimed listings
Some listings were added by us from the business's own public website, where it presents itself as a Filipino business. They show only basic business details and say where they came from. If you own one and would rather not be listed, email us and we'll remove it the same day.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use KabayanPros: which pages are visited, where visitors came from (for example a Facebook post), and actions like tapping a phone number or sending a request. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. We don't send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same without them.
We also count how many times each business profile is viewed, so owners can see it. That count doesn't identify you.
Services we use
Supabase stores our database and photos in Canada. Netlify hosts the website. Resend sends our emails. Google Analytics measures visits. Cloudflare Turnstile may check forms for spam. Some of these services process data outside Canada, including in the United States.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep requests and listings while they're needed to run KabayanPros. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your details, or to remove a listing. Business owners can also edit or pause their listing themselves.
